WWE.com announced on Friday the release of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival.
“Effective today, Friday April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
This news doesn’t come as a shock as the duo have been trying to get out of their WWE contracts for a year now.
Multiple reports have stated that WWE offered both new contracts that were said to be for much more money and even lesser dates, but they refused to re-sign.
Dawson and Wilder are former NXT, Raw, and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
Word going around is that the team will not have to wait out a 90-day no complete cause considering the “immediate release” wording, but that has not been confirmed. The belief is they are AEW-bound.
